#2 AWG Copper Dutch 1.11 Dutch weave - per square inch
This is #2 American Wire Gauge copper electrical wire. It is electrolytic grade and is at least 99.99% copper. The wire diameter is .257". It is woven on a hand operated continuous pin bender devised by Bill Slugg. A picket fence of straights is erected and the squiggly wires are forced down over the pins. This material has no projected open area. That is, if you look straight at it, you cannot see through it. The Dutch weave is the densest possible weave. I have been able to bend the wires such that the space between parallel straights is only 11 percent larger than needed for the bent wire to fit through.

The material weighs .133 pound per square inch. It can be made in sheets at least one inch square and up to unlimited size. It is priced at $6 per square inch (4-12-10).
